The Indiana Building & Construction Trades Council is the umbrella labor organization representing all of Indiana’s Building Trades Unions &
their Members.

Organized in 1910, the state council is chartered through North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU). The state council coordinates activities of common interest to the collective membership, and  works to promote economic development, work-site safety, and apprenticeship and journey-level training. The council works with affiliated unions to organize workers and assist in the securing of better wages, hours, and working conditions for the membership through collective bargaining and legislative action.

Community Involvement

Our council serves those in need by sponsoring and volunteering in community projects. It is within our core beliefs that one must lift up others for all to prosper as a thriving society.
